New user help
-------------
Well, It seems you are a new user! At first, this software may seem
a bit strange to you since it is not widely used at all, but it shouldn't
take very long to get used to. Lets cover some basic topics of scottbbs:
1. The help command
The help command is availabel from the main menu, message menu, files
menu, and utilities menu. It will contain some simple help on the commands
in the section you are currently in. All of the help files may be read
at once by selecting the "Scottbbs users guide" from the bulletins section.
2. Graphics
If you have some garbage on your screen (Lots of brackets, numbers, and
semi-colons), then you have selected ansi or music graphics and you terminal
does not support them. Switching to either NONE or ASCII may remedy the
situation. Graphics may be changed from the utilities menu.
3. Conferences
Conferences are areas that are set aside for specific topics. They can
be joined through the "C" command at the main menu. Once in a conference,
all commands are altered for that conference. (The message system will
display messages for that conference only, files will display files for
that conference, etc.)
4. Abandoning conferences
To get out of a conference and back to the main area, go to the main
menu and type "C". You will then be prompted for the conference number.
Type "99" and you should be all back to normal.
5. What conference are you in???
When you log on to the system, you are automatically put into the "MAIN"
conference. The name of the conference you are in will always be displayed
at the menu prompt (e.g. Main [FORSALE] A,B,C,D,E,F ?).
6. More coming soon.......
